What this health check measures
Nothing missing in a way that would quietly change behaviour, and no recent mail-send failure recorded by the process that answered you. That second half is per-process memory: on a serverless host this request can land on a container that never saw the failure, so read a clean result as best-effort rather than proof. It is not an outage detector: the database, billing and AI providers are not checked by this badge, so their being down does not turn it amber. The count itself is unfiltered — it is every failing check, so a green badge means all of them passed, including checks whose details this page withholds. A number is a coarse channel over configuration state; that is the deliberate price of publishing a badge at all. No connectivity probe runs on this page: nothing reported above comes from an outbound call, only from configuration and state this process already held. (Working out whether you are an administrator can cost one call to the auth service — that decides what you see, not what is reported.) Live connectivity probes are /api/health?deep=1.
