1. Agreement
By using flowss at www.flowss.ai you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service. We may update these terms; material changes will be announced in-app or by email at least 14 days before they take effect.
2. Who may use it
You must be old enough to form a binding contract where you live, and at least 13. flowss is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly create accounts for them — the same line the Privacy Policy draws.
You are responsible for what happens under your account, including keeping your credentials to yourself. Tell us at hello@flowss.ai if you believe someone else has access to it.
3. The service
flowss is a diagram studio. It lets you author diagrams as text or via AI assistance and export them as images, PDFs, or links that carry the document.
We add, change and retire features. We will not remove something you are paying for mid-term without telling you first, but the service is not frozen and this page is not a feature list.
There is no uptime commitment. We do not promise the service will be available, uninterrupted, or free of errors, and we have not published a service-level agreement. If that matters to you, treat flowss accordingly and keep your own copies — exports exist for exactly that reason.
4. Your content
You retain ownership of everything you create with flowss. We don't train models on your diagrams. We process your input only to render diagrams, generate previews, and (when you ask) call AI providers to assist you.
If you use BYOK (bring your own API key), the provider call is made by our server, so your key passes through our server on every AI request. By default the key is stored only in your browser and held in memory for the duration of a single request; if you opt into “save key to my account” it is encrypted and stored in our database until you delete it. The Privacy Policy describes both modes in detail.
5. Our content, and what you may do with it
The service itself — the software, the rendering engines, the template catalogue, the icon and figure libraries, the name and the marks — belongs to us or to our licensors. These terms give you permission to use it, not ownership of it.
You may use the templates, icons and figures in the diagrams you make, including commercially, and the result is yours under §4. You may not extract the catalogue itself and redistribute it as a competing library. Some third-party assets carry their own licences, which we honour and which travel with the asset; the open-source notices are available on request at hello@flowss.ai.
If you send us feedback or a feature idea, we may act on it without owing you anything for it. That is not a claim on anything you have made — only on the suggestion itself.
6. Sharing and collaboration
A share link carries the document inside the URL itself. We do not host the shared copy, index it, or keep a record of who opened it — but anyone holding the link holds the document, so treat a share link as public once you have sent it.
Project and team invitations work differently: they are issued by our server at a role you choose, and they can be withdrawn. If you invite someone into a project, you are giving them the access that role describes.
7. Acceptable use
8. Plans, payments and AI allowances
Paid tiers are billed through Stripe at the price shown at checkout, either monthly or — where that tier offers it — as a year paid in advance at a lower per-month rate. You choose the cadence at checkout and can see which one you are on, and when it renews, on your account page. You can cancel at any time; you keep paid features until the end of the period you have already paid for, and we do not pro-rate the remainder. On a prepaid year that means access runs to the end of that year and the unused months are not refunded by default. Refunds are handled case-by-case — reach out to hello@flowss.ai.
Hosted AI is metered in points, and each tier includes a fixed monthly allowance that resets at the start of each calendar month (UTC) and does not carry over. That is the calendar month on every plan, including a year paid in advance — a prepaid year receives its allowance twelve times, not once. The allowance is a number, not “unlimited” — the current figures are on the pricing page. Bringing your own API key bypasses the allowance, because you are then paying your provider directly rather than us.
Prices are exclusive of any tax we are required to collect. We may change prices, but not for a period you have already paid for: a change takes effect at your next renewal and we will tell you first.
A promotional price lasts for as long as the offer it came from says it does, and the launch offer does not expire. Subscribe while it is running and you keep the launch rate for as long as that subscription stays active: it is not an introductory period, and the plan does not step up to the ordinary rate at a later renewal. A price change we make afterwards does not lift the discount off a subscription that already carries it. The discount is applied automatically at checkout while the offer window is open — the closing date is on the pricing page — and if you cancel, a later subscription is priced at whatever is on offer then.
If a payment fails, Stripe will retry it. If it keeps failing we may downgrade the account to the free tier. Your work is not deleted for non-payment — features gated to a paid tier stop working, and the documents stay where they are.

11. Termination, and what happens to your work
You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these terms or if continuing service would expose us to legal risk. We will give reasonable notice unless immediate action is required.
Export your work before you go — that is the reliable copy, and it needs no account. Every diagram exports from the workstation it lives in, and there is a second button on your account page that downloads everything this database holds about you as one file.
Self-service account deletion is temporarily unavailable while we improve protection for shared work. Use the support form to request deletion or help with an earlier incomplete request. Sending a request does not delete your account or cancel your subscription. Subscription controls remain available through Manage billing.
Intended erasure scope, currently paused. Completed erasure cannot be undone or restored. The intended process removes your profile and sign-in, your cloud workspace and its diagrams, your keys, your plan and points, and any project, team or research atlas nobody else belongs to. Its safeguards and retained records are described below; submitting a support request does not run this process. A project or team that has other members stops the deletion before anything changes — deleting you would delete their work with it — so transfer ownership or remove the other members first. A shared research atlas is handed on instead: a remaining member is promoted to owner and the atlas carries on without you. Any live subscription is cancelled first, before any row is touched, and if one cannot be cancelled the deletion stops rather than leaving you billed for an account that is gone.
The intended process retains some records, each for a stated reason: your unsubscribe and spam-complaint records, so we do not mail you again; security-log entries, with your account link removed; feedback messages, with every identifier blanked off them; anything other people are attached to, such as invitations you sent or a class roster you set coursework on; and the invoices held by our payment processor, which is the copy tax and accounting law requires us to be able to produce. Operational records such as telemetry and error reports age out on a 90-day schedule. The Privacy Policy lists each item with its reason and sets out each retention period.

If a clause here turns out to be unenforceable, the rest survives and that clause is read as narrowly as it needs to be to stand. Not enforcing something once does not waive it.
You may not transfer your rights under these terms without asking us. We may transfer ours to a company that acquires the business, provided your rights are unchanged. Together with the Privacy Policy, this is the whole agreement between us about the service, and it replaces anything said earlier.
