Marimekko / Mosaic
Native Marimekko (mosaic) charts. Each `column` has a weight (its width) and stacked segments (their heights as a share of the column). Segments with the same label share a colour across columns, with a legend. For market structure, share × volume and two-dimensional proportions.

A £600m acute hospital revenue budget split by division (column width, % of the budget) and cost type (share within each division): pay is about £360m (60%) of the whole, surgery's supplies share is more than double medicine's, and the corporate column, which includes estates, is the only one dominated by non-pay. Illustrative values.
$125m of annual recurring revenue cut by customer segment (column width) and product line (share within segment): enterprise is 48% of ARR ($60m) and the only segment where add-ons and support make up nearly half, while SMB revenue is 86% core platform — the expansion opportunity is visible as the gap between the columns. Illustrative values.
£160m of annual research grant income by faculty (column width) and funder type (share within faculty): medicine is the largest faculty at 36% and the most charity-dependent at 39%, engineering draws a third of its income from industry, and the arts and humanities column is small but mostly UKRI. Illustrative values.
