WireViz — Modbus RTU (RS-485) Cable, RJ45 to Terminal Block
A two-wire Modbus RTU cable to the pinout in the Modbus over Serial Line specification: RJ45 pin 4 is D1 (B/B′), pin 5 is D0 (A/A′) and pin 8 is Common, landed on a three-way terminal block at the instrument end. D0 and D1 share one twisted pair, Common takes the second, and the overall screen is left free here so it can be bonded to protective earth at a single point in the installation.
