Petri Nets templates
Concurrency's foundational model — places (circles) hold tokens, transitions (rectangles) fire when their inputs are saturated, arcs connect them. Tiny DSL: `place P1 tokens 2 "Ready"`, `transition T1 "fire"`, `P1 -> T1`. Auto-layout by topological depth, or pin every node with `@ x,y`. Native — no other major platform ships first-class Petri-net rendering.
Producer / consumer
Bounded buffer between a producer and a consumer — tokens represent buffer slots and items.
UML & SoftwareMutex / critical section
Two competing threads share a single mutex token — only one can hold it at a time.
UML & SoftwareDining philosophers (2 of 5)
Compact two-philosopher slice of the classic deadlock-prone Petri net — thinking, hungry, eating, with forks as shared resources.
UML & SoftwarePetri — mutex (binary semaphore)
Two processes contending for a single shared resource.
UML & SoftwarePetri — producer / consumer
Bounded-buffer producer / consumer with capacity 3.
UML & SoftwarePetri — dining philosophers (2)
Two-philosopher version of the dining-philosophers problem.
UML & SoftwarePetri — traffic light
Simple three-phase traffic-light cycle.
UML & SoftwarePetri Net — AGV Fleet Charging Bays
Token model of an automated warehouse where six robots contend for two charging bays, so the bay place is the semaphore that decides how many can charge at once.
Flow & ProcessPetri Net — Level Crossing Interlock
Interlock model of an automatic half-barrier crossing where the protecting signal can only clear once the barriers are proved down and the crossing is proved clear.
